Funds

Puerto Rico has plenty of ATMs available and the currency is American dollars, so you will find it very easy.
Remember, we do require our balance payment
in cash after arrival.
Any time of the year
At least one pair of long pants/jeans for hiking and riding, etc.
Beachwear and "riverwear" (we recommend light pants and tee shirt for hiking and/or dipping)
Eveningwear if going to club or hotel - There is dancing and gambling at local hotels.

In the winter months

(October through March)
This tends to be the dry time of year, so there is no need to bring raingear, unless you want to...we always have a few panchos and sweaters which can be borrowed.
The nighttimes can be quite cool, so a sweater or jacket (see above) and perhaps warm pajamas and even slippers or heavy socks will be appropriate.

For the green season

(April and May, August and September)
It will be warmer in the summer months, in addition to long pants, shorts or a sundress could be comfortable.
It is likely to rain in the afternoons, so a pancho and/or umbrella is helpful.  If you don't want to pack them, we are sure to have something for you, however.

Footwear
For walking and hiking - sneakers and/or hiking boots.
For hiking in the streams - we will try to have rubber boots in your size, but you may bring
something if you like - many people walk the streams in jellies or sandals.
For horseback riding - sneakers are acceptable, riding boots better, hiking boots are not recommended.
