Discover the roads and trails - almost 100 acres
from hilltops of coffee to valleys of lush giant ferns
and bananas.  Sweeping vistas  of deep valleys and even
a glimpse of ocean and the island Desecheo, off the western coast of Puerto Rico.

River hike - Suit up for adventure with our big rubber boots.  There are three streams on the property which empty into larger waterways and these meander through valleys, uncovering many waterfalls, small and large, and surprises around every corner.  Splashing and dipping is allowed! (there is also a fabulous "swimming hole" nearby - see "Salto Curet" below...)

Horses - we have three sweet and easy horses, including paso finos, the gaited breed renowned for its "ride-the-glide" trot.  Our horses are suitable both for beginners and for more experienced riders.  There honestly is nothing comparable to seeing the terrain on horseback!  A trail ride will take you to mountaintop vistas and through the jungle to streams and waterfalls.

Flora and Fauna - Birdwatching: Hummingbirds and finches, hawks and owls,
cuckoos and more. A variety of hardwood and flowering trees, orange, guava, avocado, mango, many types of bananas and towering bamboo, among others. The flowers
which we cultivate include gingers and heliconias of many types and orchids.

Create - enjoy sketching or painting - we ourselves are artists and encourage and, if you like, can assist in your pursuits.  Maravilla and the island offer excellent photo opportunies, as you can see from all the photos we have taken for the website.

Relax - On a quiet night, we offer an entertaining and
eclectic library and a good collection of movies.
In the cool winter evenings, enjoy a toasty fire
and stargaze from our cottage.
